इलाहाबाद के सुलेमसराय इलाके में सोमवार सुबह एक तीन मंजिला मकान में लगी भीषण आग में कपड़ा कारोबारी के परिवार के तीन लोग जिंदा जल गए। आग इतनी भीषण थी कि उसे बुझाने में फायरब्रिगेड के अलावा एयरफोर्स की भी मदद लेनी पड़ी। चार घंटे तक चले बचाव कार्य के दौरान इलाहाबाद-कानपुर जीटी रोड पर भीषण जाम लगा रहा।
